Sweet little Lucee will be 16 years old next month. For the last ten years Lucee has made the trek out to the cherry tree for her evening feast.
How does she know when it is almost cherry season?
The bing cherries are plentiful, but still green.
The royal anne tree also has plenty of fruit.
Just like Lucee, Karen makes a daily trip out to the ancient plum tree to see how she's doing. This year she is producing more than she ever has before, although the storm yesterday didn't do her any favors.
Lucee made her way back to the house. It was a huge disappointment for her. At 16 years, it's a long way out there for a basset hound.
