Buddy has always been an outdoorsy kinda guy. He picked Silver Falls State Park for his adventure. He knew there would be a trade-off, lots of water coming over the falls and not much new spring growth, but he was out for the water falls.

Silver Falls likes having the reputation "Trail of Ten Falls", but when you're a canine, it is really just the "Trail of Two and Half Falls."

The Upper North Falls was our first stop. It was an easy 10-minute walk from the parking lot, and the 65 ft. water drop was stunning.

On the trail, Buddy met a hot little number named Haley. It was pretty cool to find another greyhound on the trail. She was even adopted from Oregon Greyhound Adoption

North Falls was on the other side of the parking lot and about one mile in. We could only view it from a distance, dogs weren't allowed on the trail that goes down to the floor of the canyon and behind the falls.

The waterfall is 136 feet and is absolutely spectacular. Don't worry Budman, I'm not gonna fall off of the hill.

Buddy loved the hike and kept up nicely on the trail. You'd never know our boy was 11 1/2 years old.

The next stop was Winter Falls. We couldn't see anything from the dog friendly trails, but the Skunk Cabbage were in full bloom.

Buddy knew there were hot dogs cooking on the other side of the door. No pets allowed in the South Falls Lodge really foiled his plan.

The lodge was built in the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Next stop was the ever popular South Falls.

Observing from above, Buddy admired the beauty of his last falls of the day.

The South Falls has the longest drop of the waterfalls in the park at 177 ft.
