Grazing isn't just for cows

Spring is such a grand time in the gardens. The greyhounds can actually get out and enjoy their yard and Murphy is no exception.

Since the day he came home nine years ago, he has been the one to wait patiently for spring and freshly mowed grass.

Nope, nothing beats a good roll in the grass.

The only thing better than rolling in the grass, is grazing.

Caught green-lipped.

The only downside to grazing is the bum salad I have to help pull out.

Roughage leads to gaggage.

"Green-lipped...very clever!"

Next weekend while I'm playing on this hop, I'll also be hosting one at my blog. I'd love to have you join in to help homeless bunny friends find furever homes. Check it out http://www.allthingsdogblog.com/2011/04/easter-rabbit-adoptathon-blog-hop.html

The last picture is great! Mine love it when the green grass starts coming up in the spring. They've been mowing. Unfortunately we are getting more snow right now, about a foot, so it will be a little while before they get to graze. :-(

What is it about Greyhounds and grass? You'd think they were going to start the new Doobie Brothers or something! I remind a certain tiny blue fawn hound all the time that she is NOT a Guernsey cow. She does not appreciate this, and we continue the argument sometimes through our while evening walk!

Sage is always looking for that great blade of grass too. I love the "green-lipped" description. I'll have to check Sage's next time!!

And freshly mowed grass is especially fun for our hounds! Happy weekend to you and your pack!!

Yep, Beryl is a grass-eating-Greyhound too. And like IHateToast, I get the job of pulling it out the other end as well.
