42 balloonists attended the 10th annual Wah Chang Balloon Festival. The first ballon lifted off the ground at 6:45 am.

As soon as it was up in the air, the other ballonist quickly prepared their rigs for lift-off. I was much relieved to know that everyone one be dressed. :o)))

The balloons where tethered to people as they filled with air.

One by one they were filled and in the air.

What surprised me the most was how quickly they got so small.

Oregon by Greyhound • Return to Majestic Falls

The Adventure Majestic Falls
Location LAT 44.44073 N LON 122.59118 W
Date August 15, 2009
Weather 71°, Partly cloudy
Distance 51.9 miles

Following the path next to McDowell Creek, we passed by Crystal Falls, a small waterfall empting into a pool.

Once again, Crystal stepped into the path to urge me along. Almost as if to say, "Mom, we walk 20 feet only to stop for 20 minutes. Enough with the pictures."

The developed trail system always impresses me. Crystal navigated the stairs much better than Adam.

Mom! Enough with the pictures.

Oh please udder mudder. Make her stop.

Oregon by Greyhound • Return to Royal Terrace Falls

The Adventure Royal Terrace Falls
Location LAT 44.44073 N LON 122.59118 W
Date August 15, 2009
Weather 71°, Partly cloudy
Distance 51.9 miles

As we rounded the corner to Royal Terrace Falls, we were amazed at the difference two months of summer made.

This was Royal Terrace Falls on June 7.

The drizzle of water exposed much of the rock below.

Fall Creek barely flows below the falls.

Crystal had grown tired of waiting and was ready to hit the trail.

As we moved on, a footbridge crossed over McD0well Creek. Two more falls waited for us upstream.

Why Danny Bleu

What long legs you have!

Beautiful, long, silky and blue. Ya wanna know why?

So I can come from a mile behind and

chase Emmaweimer.

You better look out you slow piece of bird doo, I'm closing in.

Come on weimie, can't you fly any faster than that?

How's the dust taste?

That Danny Bleu may have passed me by, but he never got my ball!
